Health & Social Care Provider Support Group

Thriving Autistic is proud to now offer a virtual peer support group for Autistic healthcare providers!

We recognize that autistic providers need additional support to make our practices accessible based on our needs so that we can best support our clients.

The groups will cover topics and issues such as masking and unmasking, energy accounting, sensory needs, burnout, and self-advocacy.

Each group will begin with a check-in, to determine the most pressing needs of the group as a whole.

The group will be facilitated by Dana Sayre (they/them). Dana is a US-based Registered Drama Therapist. Dana is Autistic and ADHD with lived experience navigating late diagnosis.

The group will be capped at 8 members maximum, to accommodate those who struggle in larger groups.

Individuals may keep their video on or off and may utilize either their speaker audio or typing in the chat. Live captioning will be available. Please email dana@thrivingautistic.org to discuss any additional access needs.

The group will meet once a month for 90 minutes.

The sessions will be biweekly on Thursdays (June 30 - Sept. 33), 7:00-8:30 pm Dublin time.

We ask for a four-month commitment, so there will be some stability within the group, allowing deeper levels of trust and safety to be built between group members. Each session will cost $60 (about 55 euros), with a discount for those who can make full payment in advance (email dana@thrivingautistic.org for more details).

Who is this for:

This group is suitable for all health and social care providers and allied professionals including, but not limited to: therapists, psychologists, doctors, psychiatrists etc.

This group will likely book out fast. If there is no availability left for this group, please register for further peer-support groups by emailing hello@thrivingautistic.org
