What We Stand For: Safety, Dignity, Freedom

At Thriving Autistic, we are a global, neurodivergent-led community of practice. We support Autistic and other neurodivergent people and professionals in offering affirming, ethical, and effective care. We centre human dignity, mental freedom, and the right to thrive in everything we do.

We stand unequivocally for the safety, freedom, and inherent worth of all neurodivergent people. This includes those who are transgender, non-binary, gender-diverse, racialised, disabled, and multiply marginalised.

While we do not respond to every political development or media cycle, we acknowledge that rising misinformation and targeted hostility, particularly toward Autistic and trans communities, has a real and harmful impact on mental health, safety, and access to support.

In solidarity with those at the sharpest edges of injustice, we affirm:

  • Neurodivergent people do not need to be fixed, cured, or silenced.
  • Trans and gender-diverse people are valid and deserving of safety, care, and autonomy.
  • Human thriving is incompatible with hate, fear-mongering, or coercive systems.

Our mission is not reactive. It is generative.

We are building spaces where neurodivergent people can heal, connect, and lead.
We invite our global community to seek out, support, and uplift the vital advocacy work being done in their local regions. We’ve listed some organisations here.
